Coach Brian Lecheler
COACHING:
Brian Lecheler is entering his 4th season as the JV Coach and Varsity Assistant for Bellevue East.
BEFORE THE SIDELINE:
Coach Lecheler attended the University of Northwestern - St. Paul in Minnesota where he graduated with a degree in Business-Finance. He had a stellar basketball career which included earning Conference Player of the Year honors as a Senior and multiple All-American awards. He ranks in the top ten in several career statistics for the Eagles. After basketball, Brian took his talent and athleticism to the Eagles football team for 2 seasons as a wide receiver.
Brian graduated from Abbotsford High School in North Central Wisconsin where he was a 3-sport standout. On the hard court he earned Conference Player of the Year honors as a Senior and helped lead his team to a State Runner-Up finish in 2006. On the gridiron he was an All-Conference performer as a Wide Receiver and Punter. Brian also won the 100 and 200 at the State Track meet his senior year.
PERSONAL:
Brian's wife Paige grew up in Nebraska and the two moved from Minnesota in 2014. He is employed as a Financial Analyst in Omaha and she is an Art teacher for OPS. Brian is a basketball junkie and he has a minor addiction to shoes.
